It was a lovely morning at de Bridge. However SaraFerret was still
sound asleep in her hammie. It had been such a busy week, what with
so many fuzzies crossing. So much nicer to get some much much needed
sleep. All of a sudden she heard a gentle tapping at her cottage door.
She thought "No, I didn't hear dat. It was my imagination." The tap
became a knock-knock and continued for a bit. So she knew it meant
only one thing. Sleepy-time was over for today. She hopped out of her
hammie, stretched, and went to de door and opened it and dere was Mimi,
de little girl courier, with a note in her paw. She said,

"SaraFerret, I know you have been so busy. But there is a note from
a Mr Scott requesting that you greet his ferret who is crossing the
bridge. Did I wake you up? I can see you are yawning. Is there anything
I can do to help?"

She handed me de note. I read it quickly and said, "Mimi, I was taking
a nap, please excuse me for yawning in your face. If you could fetch a
fuzzy named Prince, I would appreciate it." With that she flew off and
I headed for de entrance.

I was just in time to meet a sweet little fuzzy. So I introduced
myself,

"Hi I am SaraFerret and I am de bridgegreeter. Welcome to de Rainbow
Bridge. Dis is your new forever home. Here you will have no more pain
or suffering. You will have lotsa of friends and run on green grass
forever."

The little girl said, "I am Ruby and my daddy was so very good to me. I
wasn't feeling so well, so he said he knew it was my time to cross the
bridge, that I would be happy here. But I did get to say good-bye to
him, although I don't think he heard me whisper. Oh by the way, are we
the only ones here? It seems kind of deserted. I mean its pretty and
all that. But I just see you and me. But I guess we can just make the
best of things. I am easy to get along with."

Just then who should fly up, but her old friend, Prince. Ruby was so
surprised. Now she knew she would not be alone. But then Prince told
her about another surprise. "Ruby, do you see these wings that I flew
in on? You are going to get your very own special pair. They are great
for flying about the heavens. You will be able to do all sorts of
tricks with them after a while."

But before we went down de garden path, I told Prince I had a message
for him from his Daddy Scott. He said, "You do?" "Yes," I replied. "He
said to tell you he loves you so very much and misses you." With that,
he got a tear but brushed it away, as boys are apt to do. He didn't
want to upset his sister. So we went on down de path to de Wing House
where de wings were stored. We opened de door and on de counter was a
big box marked "Ruby." She opened de box and took out de wings--bright
red with gold tips--perfect for a tiny fuzzy. I helped her put on her
wings and Prince adjusted her halo. Den she ran to de big vanity mirror
and gazed at her reflection. She looked so healthy and happy now. Den
she turned to me and said, "Gee I wish Daddy could see me now." Den I
gots an idea.

We opened de door and went down de path to de Misting Pond and sat down
beside de cool clear water. With one swish we saw the vision of Daddy
Scott appear. Ruby and Prince got so excited dey started waving and
dooking with all of dere might.

"We love you Daddy. Thank you for loving us. We are doing just fine. I
has wings now. I will be flying soon."

Den dey started throwing hugs and kisses and wrapped dem with all of
dere love and laid dem on a nearby shooting star and by de time you
should read dis it should have landed dere. And with another swish
de vision was gone.

We left dere and went down de road and were met by a large group of
fuzzies--Father Natures Rescue were carrying a large banner which read
"Welcome Ruby." A small parade went down de road to dere cottage where
I could see a group of cottages and Prince whispered to Ruby dat he had
a surprise for her. Apparently a group had gotten together and built
a new cottage close by for both him and Ruby and any others who might
come from Daddy Scott and named it Bouza House. You could see dat a
party was set up inside de new cottage and fuzzies were running inside
and music was playing. I was invited to stay. But I was really tired.
So I gave Ruby and Prince a hug and said my good-byes.

So ended another greeting at de Rainbow Bridge.

Lovey and hugs,
SaraFerret, bridgegreeter
