Hi all,
We lost our first kid today (Saturday), our little Katy :o( She had, had
some pretty serious surgery back in July for the removal of two huge liver
tumours.  About a month ago i found they had returned, because of the speed
they had come back - the vet and i decided it wasn`t really an option to
re-operate.  I was assured she was not in and pain or discomfort, so we
brought her home.  She`d been doing really well and we were hoping to have
her for a while longer.
 
Tonight i went into their pen to clean out trays and stuff and found her
lying on the floor.  I knew this was going to happen, but i wasn`t prepared
for it.  I`m having trouble right now, seeing what i`m doing.
 
Katy had a very sad life in the beginning, we adopted her about two years
ago from a shelter.  She was sent there by a vet, who had said she was a
cruelty case.  We think she was blind in one eye and her back legs gave way
every so often when she walked - BUT she was the sweetest little girl in
the whole world.  She was the first one to offer kisses and was EVERYONES
favourite, because of her gentleness.
 
We`ve just got in from burying her, in a nice spot in the garden.  It was
sooo sad to see my young son, who insisted on digging the grave for her -
tears streaked down his face.  It made the moment even more profound.
 
Please pray that Katy finds the rainbow bridge, my son is pretty adamant
he`ll meet her there.
