I don't believe hair loss is a symptom of giardia.  I am currently treating
2 baby possums (was 3; one died yesterday) for giardia and have not noticed
any hair loss.  What medication are you using?  I am giving them
Metronidazole (Flagyl).  Watch out, it's very nasty tasting stuff.  You may
need to crush the pill and mix it with something to get them to take it.
 
The hair loss may be a sign of adrenal disease.  Is it symmetrical?
