Mellisa, I think you may have seriously rattled Pet Supermarket's cage,
and THANK GOD FOR IT!! I went to their webpage intending to send them a
blistering letter, and would you believe the "About Us", "Contact Us",
"Pet Adoption Centers", and "Our Guarantee" links DO NOT WORK!!! All it
says is Coming Soon' (like maybe after they lose this lawsuit??)

The picture of poor little Hope almost made me physically ill, I sat here
crying and hugging my 3 babies, offerring prayers up for that sweet baby's
recovery.... How anyone - ANYONE - could work in that store with knowledge
of what she was suffering without contacting someone - ASPCA, Animal
Control PETA, I don't care who - is totally beyond my human comprehension!
And since PETA's home office is about 3 miles away from me, I am going to
forward your pages to them to see if they can maybe join in your lawsuit.
Although I don't agree with all PETA's precepts, I am sure they will be
outraged as well, and may be able to throw some weight with you.

You have to wonder how those employees treat their own pets, to ignore
the obvious pain she was in... The store manager should be held directly
accountable (good thing that store isn't around here). The employee in
charge of the ferrets should have called someone, even anonymously,
because I am sure they would say they were afraid for their job. I truly
hope the police can put together an airtight case - the pictures DO say
it all. Such cruelty should NOT be allowed to continue!!!

I have absolutely no experience with Marshall Farms, I just hope they
would not say that once the ferret was delivered to the store, their
obligation was over... Anyone up for reelection in your city council,
local govt., or even state govt. that you could notify?? Votes talk,
and it would never hurt for a representative running for office to speak
out against OBVIOUS animal cruelty in his/her own jurisdiction! I don't
have much, but I would be willing to send you something toward the vet
bills - a smart lawyer maybe could get all your costs paid by Pet
Supermarket. Please keep all of us here on FML up-to-date on the
proceedings and how little Hope is doing... I don't know how many
subscribers there are to this list (BIG??), but if even just 1/3 of us
sent you even $1.00, I'm sure it would go a long way toward her medical
costs and prosecuting that #$^%*&@ store!!! (I'm trying to be nice, BIG,
but I am FURIOUS!!!) It's just a thought -- Melissa please contact me,
ok? God bless you for rescuing that little furry soul - you are truly her
Guardian Angel . Our prayers and best wishes to you and little Hope!!
