Hi. Has anyone had any experience with ferret obesity, if
indeed it exists? My husband and I are beginning to be
concerned with our MF ferret (Harriet). She is a possum-
faced/white mitt ferret who isn't nearly as active, playful and
skinny as our masked ferret. She is not listless, just
lazy and always wanting treats. We drastically cut down
her snacks of dried fruit,, but she seemed to fill the
'gap' with extra IAMS cat-food.

We became more concerned when she couldn't fit through
a cardboard tube that she has always enjoyed playing with.
Also, she is quite the noisy sleeper--we wonder if she
is having trouble breathing.

Is there any way to measure if a ferret is too fat for
it's own good? Any advice is appreciated.

-Cindy
