Just wanted to thank Melody T., Beth S., Sheri M., Sonam D., Jill W., Moxie,
Kathy S., Kim (Cyberwezl), and Chris, Tara and the Fuzzbutts for responding
to the many questions I asked in my last post! All of your advice was
extremely helpful... and Oso and I can't thank you enough! I am definitely
going to get another fuzzie soon! I am going to take my time, though, and
make sure that he/she gets along with Oso. The last thing I want to do is
upset my little baby. I also don't want him to feel neglected if I bring
another ferret into the house. I think Oso really wants a brother or sister
because I have a medium-sized doggie stuffed animal that he tries to play
with...it's so cute. He runs all around it, dashing to and fro, and pounces
on it, but the darn thing just won't respond (unless, of course, I get on
all fours and chase him with the stuffed animal making mock ferret noises).
I think he'll really appreciate a little playmate that plays back! One
thing I am worried about is ECE. It's something that Sheri M. brought to
my attention. I don't know if Oso was ever exposed to ECE and there's a
good chance that I won't be able to find out. What will happen if I get a
ferret that has been exposed to ECE and Oso hasn't, or vice versa. Will the
one that hasn't been exposed get it? Is it a sure death sentence? I don't
know anything about this disease. Any advice on this would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
