Turnip does this to me if I don't take time to sit down with him and play
until he is pooped out. He is just like the little kid who runs up, smacks
you, says "You're it!!" and takes off again! He wants you to chase him,
roll him over on his back, get his belly, maybe put him in a bag and rustle
it around and wrestle him. Seems Turnip always wants to do this when I'm
busy.....probably because he figures if he can't get my attention and get
me to chase him, I won't take time out for him individually. I get a kick
out of it. Yes, the nips hurt, but I know he is just being ornery and has
trouble figuring out where the line is between fun and 'ouch'! I think he
believes the harder he bites, the more he wants to play.

You may think that Otis isn't very smart, but I betcha he's thinking the
same thing about you and trying to figure out how hard he's gonna have to
bite you to get you to understand he wants to play!
