Hello again...
First of all, i want to extend my Love to the VERY many Moms & Dads who
have lost kids,lately.Our Club was hit especially hard with Millie losing
her Snow & Kizzie,two in two days,Lori losing Pania,Ari losing Monster
and Marla losing her baby,way too many.God Bless
We have an Emergency happening with another member.Our Club is helping
but we need more,so we have decided to ask you guys,too....
I'm not mentioning names as not to embarass her.This lovely lady is a
genuine sweet person,always offering advice & anything she can to help
others.Now it's our turn to help her...
She moved into a house close to a year ago,a rental.No question as to
pets was asked so no mention was given.This lovely lady has a group of
older,very bonded ferrets..most rescued from Shelters.
Here is her delema.She made the mistake of telling her neighbors she had
ferrets.Someone in the neighborhood turned these people in,as their dog
barks 24/7.They decided it must of been her.It wasn't.They decided to
have a little talk with her landlord & asked him if he knew she had
ferrets.He,of coarse,did not...
He let himself into her home,foot in door & would not even allow her to
get dressed.Caught offguard she admitted to the full number of ferrets.He
gave her until Monday to get rid of her family.Her only family,btw....
In her State there are very few renters rights.He can enter without
notice, anytime.He hates ferrets.If she stays & hides the kids at a
Shelter for a time (we've covered all this;( and brings them back at any
point..and he enters while she is at work?? Who knows what he may do.He
may harm them or knowing him,she feels he would probably release them
into the street.This is a group of ferrets over 5,many way older than
that.Some are on meds...this is a horrible situation..... Plus? Due to
medical problems,and no medical insurance,she got behind.Rent was late
a few months ago,by almost a full month.She finally paid it,however he
applied the rent to the late fees first.He has been tacking on $25.00
a week since that time,until this is paid in full. Things are going
backwards:( That month he also obtained an eviction notice.
So the hard reality is, he may show up at her door Monday morning,
Sheriff & notice in hand & evict her.During this mess she was out of work
plus could not return full time.That is how we found out...She tearfully
sent us a Good/By mail...not sure what that meant i pressed.This mess
spilled out but not as hard as her tears.. Knowing her as i do? I
truly think she would live in her car if she needed to..but to lose her
ferts,her children? No way.She is no longer a young woman...these
ferrets ARE her ONLY family.Her parents died years ago & she is an only
child..her best friend has offered them a room in her home however it
is 4 States away and right now she has no money to move.
Please put yourself in her shoes for a few minutes? I know,it could
never happen,you would be more prepared..Just remember the saying....
"there by the Grace of God....Go I" Things happen.This story is breaking
our Hearts...
So,here i am,begging for donations.Any amount.With as many members as
we have here,if everyone gave us a few dollars we could manage this..
Melissa, our Resident Artist (E/Bay Ferret Memorials) is donating a
choice of her very nifty ferret shirts for any donation of $20.00 or
more.They are adorable & well worth the donation.I'm mailing some things
for Melissa to E/Bay to help on my end.We need to gather enough money to
buy gas for her car & a small rental trailor.We need money to rent a
truck to move her big things to a storage center then enough money to
cover about 6 months rental space.( remember she will have to quit her
job) She has no time to sell her things.It isn't much,but it's all she
has.Sentimental things. Worth nothing to anyone but her,anyway.... So
if you have a few dollars & a good Heart (i KNOW that's one thing we all
have in common:)) Please either PayPal to Melissa (i'm in the middle of
moving aboard our boat)
