I don't know that the ear sucking could be adrenal.  I meen it might, but
I had always read that it was just another show of afection.  The only
problem with ear licking that I've read in all my books is if one of the
ferrets gets really crazy with it and sucks on the ear too much.  Then
that meens they've got a few emotional problems or something to that
extent.  But from what I've read, ear sucking is perfectly normal.  I
wouldn't start worrying about adrenal disease just yet.
