Years ago an FML member wrote about going through a California
inspection station in which a novice inspector noticed that person's
ferret. The inspector asked what the ferret was and the person replied
that it was a rare breed of Polish Cat, sometimes called the Pole Cat
for short.

In relation to ferrets used as seizure animals. In all 4 cases of
which I have read the ferret would alert the person BEFORE the seizure
hit and people had time to take meds and lie down in a safe spot. One
woman had been several years seizure-free due to advance warning.

One I have read about in Canada was a man and not only would the ferret
let him know that he was about to seize but would go get his wife if
she was in the house.

BTW, I am sure that it just the way things were written or how they
read, but i find it extremely hard to warrant that a dog can use a
telephone. ;-) Please, clarify what you meant.
