I'm with you on that one... When I was first trying to bite-train my
fuzzybutts, I took a suggestion from Mark Yu, a Cajun friend of mine (an
Oriental Cajun... nice guy but a little strange). He had ferrets and
nip-proofed them by lathering his hands with Tabasco sauce. That was fine,
right up until they bit too hard. THEN they got a good lick of Tabasco and
did not bite again.

Problem: I tried that with mine, and as it turns out, Cayanne was an
appropriate name for her.... she and Tenaka LOVE Tabasco. Absolutely adore
the stuff. For a while, they preferred it to Ferretone (go figure!). After
confirming that that was no deterrent, I stopped that practice and it was a
full week before they'd take Ferretone again. This was the week after I got
my fuzzies, so they have had none in a very long time.

Raisins, Ferretone, and Tabasco (if your fuzzies like it as much as mine do)
to all!
