Regarding K.Fox and her ferret Eddie:
Sparse food and weight loss to me is probably an adrenal tumor.  If he is
declining I would urge exploratory surgery to look for an adrenal tumor.
If You want you can request an ultrasound, but they aren't 100% accurate
and frequently cost almost as much as surgery.  Let me know what you
think.
 
Stephen (owned by two geriatric ferrets who have both been through
adrenal tumor and one through insulinoma tumor surgery.  Good luck!
