Good morning all,
 
I haven't had to use this method, but it makes sense to me.  If you stuff
holes with steel wool or the old-fashioned scrubbers made of something
that looks like curled up metal, mice are less likely to want (be able)
to chew through it.  Stuff it in so it can't be easily dislodged with
paws.  Let me know if it works - just in case.
