Some like this post and not that...others like or don't like other topics on
the fml...

This is BIG's baby and he works very darn hard at it... and is reliable and
UNPAID.. I am delighted with his broad range of allowable posts and his
patience with people who get very worked up over issues... The bottom line
is that this is HIS mailing list, and the decisions are his to make! I feel
if anyone is that turned off by the content perhaps they need to either
broaden their interests or read selectively, but bugging and criticizing BIG
is ungrateful and rude..IMHO! Hassle him enough, send enough messages
jumping him for his choices, and he might just decide to trash the whole
bunch of us... and I, for one, wouldn't blame him..

I have no doubt the FLO posts ate on lots of peoples 'hit list' as dumb
fantasy written by bored fuzzy folks... but 'all work and no play..' as the
saying goes. And as much as I study the daily digests and print them out
and highlight med infor and so on, the fml has given me another gift that is
more precious that one more nail clipping trick or another post on ferret
proofing..

I read a part of a post that set a hook that has never faded. It was an FLO
tid bit and was signed by the ferret .. MEME [I think] AKA: NONO BADFERRET.

If I am over tired or worried over a little one that fighting for life...
and I get a little discouraged over the cruelty or stupid errors that cause
the injuries I need a lift very badly and a spirit raising 'something'
available at need that never gets old is incredibly hard to come by... but
this mailing list and that little silly post has given me that.. The clever
play on those words brings a giggle or secret smile that picks up my
flagging energies every time, without fail! I may be dragging with
exhaustion, but all I have to do is mutter to myself 'AKA: NONO BADFERRET
and I am laughing and cheery and extra energy comes out of nowhere. And
when the kids decide to stash my sandwich in the printer for the millionth
time and I have to spend an hour cleaning mayo off the inside and replace
the paper...again... I scruff the little one responsible and with my
sternest face on... tell him or her that they must be closely related to
this infamous FLO operator to have me calling them by his/her secret FLO
name all the time... [I wonder if the smile I am desperately trying to
suppress and the laugh in my voice could have anything to do with the fact I
never have been able to get them to stop trashing my printer bay..Hmmm??] :]

So.. I say, to each their own! Every post, whether deadly serious or
totally fanciful has value for someone...and it is the heighth of
selfishness to demand the content be restricted to only the area one or even
twenty people feel is appropriate. And if there is one thing this group of
list subscribers is NOT..its selfish!!!

So.. BIG... please keep the variety in the fml just as you always have.. and
folks, please try to have the forbearance needed to allow everyone to enjoy
the list in their own way...

after all..Fun may be the hardest Discipline of All!!! :D

Happy Ferreting... dayna and the fuzzys :]

[Moderator's note: In a sense this isn't "my baby" - I like to think the
FML "belongs" to all of us. Without all the posts there would be no FML.
True, sometimes I'll have to impose limits, but they're pretty much based
upon the feedback I receive from all of you.

The wedding/babytalk comments are quite odd because they are exactly even:
50% for and 50% against; so the best I can do here is compromise some. BIG]
