With your wealth of knowledge and experience Tony, I'm sure you will be
aware of the heat that is generated by little furry bodies especially if
there are a number of them in close proximity to each other.  Being in
the shade wouldn't make that much difference.

So you established the cause of death then? Was that by post mortem?
