Hello everyone,

I'm new to the FML and was actually recommended to it by a lot of people.
Let me give you a little history on my problem and why my kids need help.

My husband is currently not able to work do to a disability, we have filed
for Disability payments but will not receive his first check till February.
He will soon be entering a hospital program that means he will be in their
care from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. per day.

Recently a good friend of ours moved out of the country and gave us her two
shelter ferrets. One of these, a little girl named Angel, has a large
tumor on her tail. We have taken her to our vet, he says more than likely
the tumor is not cancerous but needs to be removed, he would have to
amputate 1/2 of her tail. This tumor is not painful to her and we were
going to wait for a little while till we could save up the money. Well on
Saturday night she somehow fell down the ladder in her cage and got the
tumor stuck at the top of the shelf and her tail sled between the shelf and
the side of the cage. She was literally hanging by her tail. I thank god
that we were home when it happened and she was not hanging long but it made
us realize that we can not wait for her surgery and take the risk that she
may get stuck when my husband is in the hospital and I'm at work. The cost
of this surgery is $100.

Our other sick boy is named Pip. Pip is 3 years old and the apple of his
momma's eye. Pip has adrenal. Our vet has agreed to do both adrenal
glands and the pancreas for $300 (original price was $750). Once again,
we can not afford this right now.

I have learned while dealing with my husband's illness that I can not be to
proud to ask for help, but in this case, I'm asking for help for 2 of my
kids. I currently have 11 ferrets, 7 of them were rescues. I wouldn't be
asking for any money to be sent to me, you can send it to my vet directly,
I am more than willing to pay back anyone who offers us assistance when I
am better able to financially. Currently I am the only income in our
house, and with my husbands medical bills running at about $100 per week,
I can not make ends meet let alone pay for the surgeries.

Please contact me privately at [log in to unmask] if you are interested
in helping my kids.

Thank you in advance for your love of fuzzies and your support in their
time of need.

Carrie
