The ferret community is a wonderful thing.  I have to say that for all our
squabbling and differing opinions, it's obvious that we all care a lot for
these fuzzy love slugs.
 
I only got a billion requests for the money that I got through sayit.com.
Most were requests from one shelter asking to send the money to another
shelter!  I put all the names in a hat and drew.  The two names I pulled
were CJ at the 24 Carat Ferret Club and Jackie Hawley (whose birthday is
today) from the Dook Nook.  I will be mailing each of them $50 money orders
today.
 
I had so much trouble with sayit.com and have now discovered that my cards
are completely gone off their site.  There is probably some little bit of
user info that says that the cards come down after a month or whatever,
but I missed it and I am not real happy about it (that bit of info should
have been more readily available.  Just my opinion though).  I don't think
I will be doing this again.
 
I will always be on the lookout for other ways to raise money and help out.
And, if I ever win this frappin' lottery, we will all be swimming in
Ferretone!  :-)
 
Thanks again to all those that helped send cards and thanks to all those
that wrote me saying to include various shelters in my draw.  I'm just
sorry I couldn't help everyone.
