News flash from the 2011 International Ferret Symposium in Phoenix:

The IFC presented checks totaling USD $7490 to Drs. Matti Kuipel and
Bob Wagner today to help to further their ongoing ferret-related
research. This includes $2045 you contributed, which was matched by
the IFC. The rest of the money was raised at the celebrity auction
held at the event. The "item" raising the most money at the auction
was Dr. Jerry Murray's head of hair -- he agreed to shave it off if
we raised over $2000 at the auction.
