From what I've read, some ferrets live from 5-8 years.  There are other
ferrets who live past 8 years and live a happy life.  We have three
Marshall Farm ferrets and two small breeder ferrets, in time hope to tell
you'll how long they have lived.  The small breeder ferrets are under two
years right now.  The ferrets are fed three to four different foods and
Ed Lipinski's LUMPS every day.
 
My prayers go out to your sick ferret.
