Dear FMLers:
 
I guess there are probably a few people out there in ferret land who are
wondering about Nosey.  Who could ever imagine that perfect strangers would
really care about each others pets!  But, of course, these are more than
mere pets.  In any event, Nosey is doing much better.  In the doctors humble
opinion, I rescued her just in time.  Another week or two and she would have
been gone.  Her eye infections are cleared up, her teeth are looking better,
she is gaining weight and SHE CAN WALK AGAIN.  Yippee!  She is on medication
and will be going back in to the vet in another week or two; to see if she
is well enough to undergo the adrenal surgery she so desperately needs.  It
is so exciting to see her run and play.  When she first came to stay with
us, she would lay around sleeping constantly; only waking long enough to
limp and tumble her way to the food dish.  She was so weak that she would
relieve herself where ever she was laying and I would have to move her out
of her own excrement to clean up.
 
I'm afraid that I must apologize for lurking in the shadows and not posting
an update sooner.  I know that most of you know, from my previous posts,
that I have 8 children.  What I failed to say was that I am also a
homeschooling parent.  Five of my children are school age, one has graduated
and left home already, and two are preschoolers.  I have two 7th graders, a
5th grader, a 2nd grader and a kindergartener.  I normally try to read the
FML at naptime, but sometimes it's MY naptime, too.
 
I guess what I'm trying to say is not to get upset if you don't here from me
too often.  I'm just plain busy!
 
I love reading about all the hilarious ferret antics, you guys are great.
I've even tried some new games (from the posts) with my healthy babies.  :)
Well, gotta run, baby crying.
