Hello All,

I have been very interested in all reports of bringing new ferrets into the
house and the other ones' reactions. I brought home two new guys, Tye and
Zoom (gee, why would anyone name a ferret that??). My old guy Sparky
attacks them.

Some people have mentioned bitter apple. Well, I tried that, but Sparky
bites, tastes the bad stuff, lets go, and bites again, immediately. He
doesn't draw blood and he doesn't drag them. He just clamps on and shakes
them.

He has made some improvement in that he no longer stalks them continually,
and they know to avoid him, but if he catches them sleeping, look out. I
tried putting Tye and Sparky in a cage together and after Sparky terrorized
him a little, Sparky got tired and they just went to sleep in opposite
corners. Zoom doesn't really have a problem with Sparky since she just
outruns him. She does get him to play tag with her, but she doesn't let
him catch her. Sparky is REALLY possesive over his towels, toys, dresser
drawer and anything else in the house.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kathleen
