Our Vet has advised us to have an exploratory surgery done on Houdini. She
believes based on the blood tests ($131 dollars for that) Houdini has an
adrenal problem. There is no hair loss, no agression, there is a slight
swelling of the vulva and a clear discharge. We have tried two weeks of
Clavamox in case it was an infection. I am wondering if it might be a
botched spay. Houdini is an MF ferret.

Our Vet is very knowledgable and has been very supportive of our little ones
(she gives us a family rate when we bring everyone in). Her price for the
surgery whether it is to remove an adrenal or to complete a spay is $400.
She can't do it for less and has said she would understand and support my
going elsewhere for the surgery. Does anyone know if there is a good
surgical ferret vet in Maine or New Hampshire who is good but affordable?

Houdini needs the surgery done but I can't afford the $400 cost right now.

Please no flames,
