The more wetly and powerfully any creature can sneeze or cough, the
more chance of that species spreading it (so humans are the big vector
in most homes)

Dogs and horses get other strains but so far have not been found with
H1N1, though the possibility might exist to some extent.

It or complications to it can be fatal for ferrets and has been for at
least one so far.
