Rescue & Shelter these days, but shelter mom Brenda Johnson doesn't
let it get her down.
"I put it in my God Box," Brenda likes to say whenever things get
especially tough.
The Lakeroad rescue is the only full-time ferret shelter in upstate
New York. Brenda works three jobs to keep the shelter running, and
typically rises at 4 a.m. to take care of her 50+ kids before reporting
