Has been a long hard winter, not nearly as hard as those in New England
had but for here and me any winter is hard.

Today was very warm, almost 80 and the leaves on the trees are
beginning to bud out. Yesterday I had Peekaboo out on the lawn for a
free romp. She loves that but will wander faster than I can walk or
run. But today I took a new turn.

Peekaboo went where No ferret has ever gone before! I had her in with
me using only one arm to hold her and took a romp down past the fence
down into the deep woods to the creek. Peekaboo was very calm and of
course curious peeking out every where making like a periscope on a
submarine to not miss a single whiff of anything.

She stayed most quiet the whole way not squirming or clawing to get
down like Pester would have done. She calmly stays with me the entire
trip loving every second. I was most happy to have her with me. She
didn't squirm one bit until we got back home and in the house. She
could tell being blind where she was by the smells, I had beans last
night so that must have made some kind of impression. Ha! So Peekaboo
is now an experienced deep woods explorer!

Give that ferret a merit badge for being such a good girl on that trip!
