The reason we are writing is that we are possibly looking for a home (or
homes) for our 3 ferrets. Since our son's birth, it seems like they aren't
getting the attention they deserve, although we try to do our best. We let
them out for playtime at least an hour or 2 in the a.m. and in the p.m.
However, it's very difficult to actually be playing hands-on with them
during that time. I feel they deserve better than this, and so we've
been discussing finding a new home for them.

We were wondering if there is anyone who might be interested or looking
for a pet ferret(s). Petey, a sable, is 5 years old now and in excellent
health. Oliver, a silver mitt, is 4 years old now. He is partially blind
(although he gets around extremely well!), and we strongly suspect he has
adrenal disease. The base of his tail is losing hair & he itches often.
Chloe, a dark-eyed white, is almost 4 years old now. We suspect she has
adrenal as well, as her vulva has been enlarged for about a month now.
Because of the high quality of life they both live, we have opted to hold
off on surgery for now. Oliver & Chloe are very good buddies, while Petey
is more of a loner. They are all sweet, loving ferrets, who are
litter-trained and do not bite. They all get along with our
Shepherd/Collie mix dog and with our 8-month-old son. It would be great to
keep the 3 of them together; otherwise, Petey would do well on his own,
while Oliver and Chloe should stay together.

If we cannot find anyone looking for a ferret(s) that would make a special
owner for one (or all) of ours, we will keep them. It truly breaks my
heart that we are even considering this, but it's a reality that they do
not get the attention they deserve. Just thought we'd ask you if you knew
anyone who would be interested? We live near St. Paul, Minnesota, and we
would be willing to transport them and their 3-story cage with lots of
accessories, toys, and bedding if you live near the Twin Cities. Please
e-mail us if you are interested. Thanks so much!
