Dear Gary,

I know these greetings are late in arriving, but arriving all the same
they are. Just as sometimes our beloved ferrets arrive in their own due
course, much like Roxie. As far as I can gather from her, she took her
sweet time in getting her small, soft bum here, and I can't blame her,
I did the very same thing. All I wanted was to keep returning to my
mum's side and watch over her and try and help her through my loss,
and then there was the journey we all take before we arrive.

I have heard hoomin's say that "their lives flashed before their
eyes.", it's different for us. We linger a bit, looking over you,
saying "our" goodbyes, but then we feel this warmth that seems to
radiate from both where your hearts, and your where your soul resides.
Whether you are there at the time we leave, or or elsewhere, we first,
and always see you, and then feel that warmth.

Its your love, your memories, but most of all, the sorrow of us leaving
that we feel. First it is something we sense, then it grows from you,
maybe grow is not the right words, but more like blossoms from you like
a nice comforting blanket. Can you imagine what they must feel like to
us? It's incredible! That warmth eventually becomes a path from you, to
something that must come from the Rainbow Bridge. It's a silver light,
and from it we can feel that we are safe, and that it is time to move
forward onto something else. That somewhere else is a wonderful walk
into our past. We see each and every moment that we shared with you -
all of our love, all of the fun, all of the very best things that made
our lives more then just worth living, but also worth passing this way
as well.

I think that that walk is suppose to be something we take on our way to
the Bridge, and most take it as they are meant to, in a timely fashion,
but then there are those, like your Roxey and myself, who keep running
from this path back to you, and then to the path over and over again,
because are not really ready to step over to the Bridge. I couldn't
tell you why, because we each have our own reasons for putting off
that last step over and into the Rainbow Bridge.

Roxey's reasons are as simple as this - she was just not ready to leave
you, she wanted that time to be near you still, and to also continue
seeing all of her favourite memories of you and her. Such a simple
thing as love, but such a vast thing as well.

She, as all of your fuzzits both here and there, love you beyond any
words I could write. So from the bottom of their fuzzy feet, to the
tops of each fuzzy, sweet head - Finley, Fisher, Rasta, Josie, Joey,
and Roxey send you this very heart felt message.

We Love You Dad Always.

In Love & In Comfort,

Pie O' Pah
