Hello Dayna.  I agree with Gonzo, diets are no fun!  However the two
treats you mentioned 8 in1 Yogi's and Ferretvite have a lot of sugar.  I
would worry about future insolinoma as much as excess weight.  I would
suggest finding a new treat like 8 in 1 Ferretbites or Bandit treats
and using Ferretone instead of Ferretvite (same company).  If he only
likes Yogi's than you could try putting a healthier treat (like Totally
Ferret's) or a different kibble into the Yogi jar so it gets a Yogi
scent or coating, then give him the kibble - he'll think it's a treat!

PS two of my three fuzzies gain weight in the summer instead of the
winter.  They have their cycle's backwards.  I was told it's because
of when they were bred.
