I know what you mean, Michelle, boycotts are no sure bets. However, let me
share a story about a much more recent and smaller boycott down in Miami.
The Black community decided to boycott the hotels and restaurants. Now,
most people did not join. About 85% did not... Not the Whites, Hispanics,
Asians, and others, not even all Blacks. In practically no time at all, the
City made HUGE concessions and spent or offered millions in reparations and
plans for claims made. It seems to depend on who's pocket you hit, and how
loud a squeal they have! I guess my point is that sometimes they work,
sometimes they don't. I wouldn't entirely dismiss them.

best wishes to mishes :-)
until next time,
alphachi
