This is a follow-up from "Symptoms of a Ferret Cold?" that I posted a
few days ago...

I moved Sprinkles into my kitchen, near my stove where it's the warmest.
That seems to help her a bit. We went to the vet today. Sprinkles had
an x-ray and some other tests done (temperature, urinalysis, etc). There
was nothing terribly unusual about any of that, though she has a LOT of
fluid collecting in her abdomen.  There MIGHT also be a mass in there;
the vet can't tell from the x-ray. The fluid is hampering Sprinkles'
ability to breathe as she can't take deep breaths due to the amount of
fluid in there. This is why she's been tired and sleeping more often
than before.

Sprinkles is going back in for an ultrasound on Saturday morning. Once
that's done we'll know more about what's happening in there. The vet
doesn't think she's in any immediate danger ("immediate" as in "this
has to happen NOW") and Sprinkles isn't uncomfortable, but we'll know
more on Saturday. I'll keep y'all posted.
