Why compound at all? Have your vet write a prescription for a human
pharmacy to get prednisolone liquid. The name brand is Pediapred, but
there are generic brands also. Pediapred contains no sugars and no
dyes. I buy a full bottle, which is 120mL, to always have on hand. Mine
have always preferred the name brand Pediapred. However, my pharmacist
just found me a wonderful deal on a generic which was only $10 for the
120mL bottle. Pediapred is usually about $45-50 per bottle here. I
haven't opened it yet but am crossing my fingers that they will like
it. If not, I'm only out $10; worth a try.

As for mixing with Pet Tinic, I find that to be a strange choice. Pet
Tinic (now called Pet Tabs) is primarily an iron supplement. The dosage
is very small, so I would worry about the ferret getting to much iron
on a twice a day, or more, dosage.
