So, the inevitable happened.  I read posts about ferrets in mattresses and
thought it would never happen to me...well, they got in the box spring...
and of course, it looked like pure danger.
 
I came in and Chimi was caught in the spider web of nylon threads Pepe had
managed to tear out of the bottom of the box spring to make his entrance
hole.  Luckily, I had also read on the ferret list that a fitted sheet,
upside down will keep them out.  Well, trying to remain one step ahead, I
also bought the fitted sheet "garters"...and it works!
 
To top it all off and to make it a legitimate success..it is a Martha
Stewart sheet from Kmart..heehee...someone needs to write this suggestion
for her show...then she can hold a ferret while it feverishly tears at her
sheets..
