Hi again - forgot to post that I called the American Humane Association
(someone had asked if they are affiliated with USHS).  They are NOT
affiliated with USHS, but they do have information services regarding animals
a well as children.  A nice person on the phone is mailing me all info she
has on ferrets.  She did assure me, however, that there is no affiliation
with USHS.  Number for AHA:  800-227-4645.
