Hello all...

My thanks goes out to all who e-mailed or sent cards on hearing about
Ragamuffin's transition over the Bridge. I've never met or spoken to
any of you, yet you took time from your busy day to offer comfort and
support, just because I loved my ferret, as you love yours. These wee
beasties' lives are so short and they give us such incredible joy...
That's the common thread that seems to hold us together on the FML. We
come from diverse backgrounds and beliefs, yet all of us share a passion
for these fur-covered slinkies. From the bottom of my heart, thank
you...

The rest of the fur crew are doing well. Last night, the five weezils
and Doppler the Bengal cat, for the first time in several weeks, played
in the tubes, and all the other old games that were so much fun for them.
And I realized that they all had "toned down" their play while Ragamuffin
was ill. He had out of cage time with them every night, but was just
too worn out to play. The rest of the gang, with their own animal
wisdom somehow knew that something was wrong. They washed his ears and
comforted him and kept the mayhem level to a lower volume. I'm sure
Muffin man is looking back from the Bridge, waving and smiling, telling
everyone to dance and play as if your life depended on it. And surely,
in many ways, it does, whether we're ferrets or people....
