To Sandee and Saraferret and any other greeters on the other side...

Please make sure Albus Dumbledore knows Hermione has crossed over, and
also introduce her to Mr Fuzzy Wuzzy, Harry, Ralph, Cinderella, Prince
Charming, Simon, Roxanne, Petunia, Daisy, Clover, Lunessa and Merlin.
Hermione loved to climb and play with other ferrets and will be looking
for an occasional ankle to nip.

For the past 2 years, Hermione was my youngest, so it was a shock that
she left before the others. Two weeks ago she had a serious seizure-like
episode (her blood sugar was fine) and became comatose. Through
excellent vet care, she was revived and stabilized and after a few days,
came home again. She was making very good progress until she had another
episode and was again semi-conscious. I didn't want to put her through
everything again, especially since a second vet (from the same practice)
thought the seizures would probably continue even though they didn't know
the cause.  So I made the very difficult decision to have her euthanized;
she was probably only 4 or 5 years old. But the autopsy revealed that
she was filled with cancer including lymphoma.

Hermione was a delightful, precious, adventuresome little faerie ferret.
She was a sable with gold and white mixed into her beautiful long fur.
After she died, I went to see Harry Potter to cheer myself up (she was
named after one of my favorite characters). In the movie, Sirius tell
Harry that you never lose someone you love, they are always with you in
your heart.

Hermione is greatly missed by Rubin, Odin and Vivaldi. So, godspeed
Hermione, and please return to us soon.

Ronnie
