I found out that roundworms have nothing to do with heartworm and that
they are very common in puppies in kittens. My vet has not encountered
one in a ferret before. She also said they are pretty benign and no
problem once you worm them. I feel reassured, especially about
roundworms not having anything to do with heartworm.
