One of our ferrets, Porthos, has been losing hair on his tail and back, has
lost weight, and has been overly attacking the female ferrets (he's about
2-3 years old male neutered). We think it's adrenal disease. My question
is, how long can we afford to wait before we get surgery done? Our vet is
going to charge about $175 for ultrasound, $50ish for bloodwork, and
$450-550 for the operation. I like & trust the vet, but it's an awful lot
of money right now. How long can we afford to wait to scrape up the cash?
Or does he need to be operated on immediately?

Thanks a lot
