While watching my ferret lick my five-year-old all over her face (including
her lips), it suddenly occurred to me to wonder if I should be discouraging
this wondrously cute show of affection?  I don't know if ferrets can harbor
anything, parasitical or otherwise, that could be caught by my daughter
through Moogie's saliva.  I already know that Moogie can catch colds
from us.
