Unfortunately, allicin is destroyed by the stomach's digestive acids.
Also the amount of raw garlic one would have to ingest in order to get
any benefits from the allicin would likely cause one to become a social
outcast!
 
The reccomended method is to find what are called "enteric- coated" allicin
tablets/caplets.  The coating ensures that the allicin makes it through the
stomach to the intestinal tract, where it is most effectively absorbed.
