First of all I want to thank all those who emailed me in response to my
question. It came down to the last email I received, which was from a
Ferret support group in Nova Scotia. That email stated me that pine is
toxic to ferrets. I had been aware of the dangers of cedar, but thought
pine was okay. I googled "pine toxicity in ferrets" and obtained a
few studies which supported the toxic label. Pine resins can have
detrimental effects, especially respiratory ones on many animals,
leading to, among other problems, asthma. Immediately I went back to
'Yesterday's News'. My gurlies can breathe easily!

Thanks again!

Gary, on behalf of Finley, Roxie and Lucy.
