Hi,
I thought i'd let you know that i took Xalamen, my kit, to the vet today.
The vet took blood and checked his blood sugar, normal. He checked his
ears. Even after i cleaned them so well last night, there was more dirt
this morning :( he does have mites. He also has a slight fever and a
possibly broken hind paw. He didnt take an x-ray cause he said he wouldnt
be able to do anything for him anyways. I have no clue as to how he
could've broke it. Maybe the dog stepped on him when i wasnt there, Most
unlikely cause i never leave them alone. He has never fallen or been
dropped when i've been around. The Dr said hes not positive its broken.

I brought up what someone mentioned to me about the ear mites and a possible
inner ear infection and causing damage to his nerves, thats when he decided
to look at his ears. He said that was also a posibility. Obviously he has
some kind of infection somewhere cause he has a fever. A third posibility
he said could be distemper. I started his shots 2 weeks ago, but he seemed
sick then too, had almost black poop and wasnt eating, that went away. But
he had a fever then too and the dr. gave him his shot anyways and told me
to keep an eye on him. Xalamen goes back to the vet next friday for his 2nd
distemper and he's gonna check him over again. But the Dr. said he's pretty
sure its just the broken foot and ear mites. I hope thats all it is. The
vet put him on Amoxi 5ml drops, and otomite plus ear meds.

Thanks,

Karri, Ona, Ceezer, and Xalamen
