I wrote last week about our precious little Jefferson having an enlarged
spleen and giong in for surgery. He had his surgery Monday and biopsies
came back today. He had cancer in the spleen and liver. Dr. is giving him
prednisone now to hopefully put it in remission for a time. Can't know for
sure if it will be days or weeks. Of course all of you will understand we
are heartbroken. We adopted Jeffy last January and he was a skinny little
guy with a ton of fleas. We fattened him up and of course got rid of the
fleas first thing. He became a pure joy! He is a lover and very playful
ordinarily. We know we will have to let him go soon.
