Got a phone call at work yesterday and it was the NH SPCA. She called to
tell me that our Blossom had won a full page spot on their 1999 calendar.
What a nice surprise. I had taken up several rolls of film trying to get
pictures of Blossom and Flower to enter in the calendar contest. Flower
may have her picture too but a little corner one. Anyone interested in
supporting the NH SPCA the calendars will I think be $10. Of course the
money helps support the shelter. They are very good with the ferrets and
place several a month. We are very proud of our Blossom.

Everyone is getting their winter coats and putting on winter fat. What a
fuzzie bunch!

One of the little girls we rescued a couple weeks ago and placed with a
neighbor has a swollen vulva. She is about 11/2 or 2 years old. She has
no hair loss or any signs of sickness. The swelling was within two days
time. Seems sudden. I am gathering all info to help them out but the vet
is not sure without surgery if it is adrenal. Seems young but suppose not
impossible.

I don't think surgery is an option at this time.
Will keep you all posted.
Hug your ferrets today.
Penny
