There was also a chicken recall recently (salmonella if I recollect correctly) and something like 2 or 3 beef recalls recently, too, as well as some dioxin contaminated pork so check the FDA and USDA recall sites. I remember that at least one of the beef ones was for a shiga toxin producing E. coli, and while cooked is safer than raw for that it is still too unsafe to eat because too much of the toxin remains.
