I would like to warn others out there who are considering the purchase of a
ferret to check local laws before doing so.  Even if your state allows
ferrets your city or county ordinances might not.
 
I frequently cross county lines when shopping.  Pet stores that I go
into usually have ferrets.  Only later did I find out my county does
not allow them.  I have talked to ferret owners and most are not aware
of this ordinance.
 
Please check this out.  Even if you now own a furry friend.
