(sent this early yesterday and haven't seen it on the two lists I've
gotten since so I thought I'd mail it again

[Moderator's note: That's because it's being sent out as a base-64
encoded e-mail and things like plain-text digests can't handle that. But
to cut out the techno talk and state the bottom line: looks like AOL is
doing this and I will not be able to accept posts in that format. Some,
like this one, I was able to decode with a lot of trouble but some others
won't decode properly at all. Please, send posts as plain text only!
It's normally an option -- I'll have to install AOL 7 somewhere and see
if I can find the option. BIG]

Got a nice big order in yesterday from TheFerretStore.com. It was like
Christmas. I will no longer support any other company as I am so please
with the qualit y, prices and speedy delivery of my recent purchases!
(BTW thanks TLE for the I Give link- the other day was my first time
trying it. It's so great to be able to help out others just by buying
the stuff I needed anyway. Knowing that my favorite ferret store is a
part of it means that by spoiling my babies I'm also helping other needy
fuzzies!) (I like when I can rationalize my shopping sprees! )

Anyway. We got a small dig box for the kids and the box it came in was
too tall and too full, so I put half of it in a shorter/wider box and let
the kids loose... They LOVE it! The stuff doesn't make that horrible
squeeky noise like styrafome peanuts do (thank god! It's like nails on
chalkboard to me!) They took turns in it and which ever one was in it
tried their darndest to keep the other out. BUT when the other one would
make it in boy did the foam (and fur!) fly It was like a crazy wresteling
match with foam peanuts involved! The got a lot of it out of the box,
but I had so much fun watching them I didn't mind cleaning up after they
were done! The box I used was a shallow square one and I though about
using markers and making it look like a wrestleing ring... Ferret Wrestel
ing Federation!!! :-) could probably get Vickey to make some nifty
little satin boxers and robe with "Dook" or "Raisin" on the back :-) LOL
I should video tape it sometime with my new camera. (got a nifty digital
video camera for my birthday, now I just have to learn how to work it!)

Anyway (It's funny how much those two mischevious monkeys bring out my
creative side!)

About cats eating the ferret food. I had that problem, but I bought a
ferret igloo and put their food bowl in it. Seems to be working so
far... If the cats get smart enough to flip it over I guess I'll figure
out a way to weigh it down.

As for the bedding swap nominee. I think they should go to GCFA. They
obviously have a lot of fuzzies and I'm sure that the warm snuggly beds
would be greatly appreciated. (especially by those ailing and elderly
fuzzies!)

ALSO Icame home this morning only to discover that they have found a new
pooping place. I hadn't noticed it before and I think they just started
using it, I hadn't thought of it before because the lowest shelf of the
table/nightstand sits only an inch or so above the ground and they
usually back into the corners... didn't think they would go where they
couldn't back into. Anyway. After I cleaned up the area I got an idea
and so far it seems to be working. I remembered that they don't like the
smell of rubbing alchohol so I soaked a sponge in in and set it on a
saucer under the table. I've sprayed it in areas before, but the smell
seems to disolve after a few hours. The sponge took a lot longer and
they've steered clear of that area all day. I'm hoping if I rewet it
every few days it will keep them from under there for good. (this table
is way too heavy to be moving every day!)
