We use baking soda to help keep down on smell. It gets used in and
around litter boxes, in the bottom of cages under newspaper or whatever
flooring, sprinkled on the rug before vacuuming, in an open container in
the ferret room to absorb odors, sprinkled lightly on the ferret bedding,
added to the ferret laundry and so on. It really does help and it's
cheap! We buy it in a large container at BJs or Sam's.
