There is a vet - Dr. Lawrenchuk who is a member of the Great Lakes Ferret
Assoc.  who runs the Westland Vet Hospital (313)-261-5900. She is very
interested in ferrets - is highly regarded by club members (mostly in the
Detroit area). I am a member in name only since I am in Battle Creek and
don't really participate.  She also takes in rescues and runs an ad hoc
shelter. I would definetely give her a try.  If she is too far away for
regular care I would certainly keep her in mind if you have anything serious

587-3959.  She is a pretty big breeder, other than that I don't know much
about her except that she was instrumental in getting the laws changed here
in Michigan.  The current hot item is trying to get enough money to hire a
lawyer to challenge the bite and kill law.
