This is quite common with ferrets.  We were amused when an extremely ferret
knowledgealbe veterinarian was panicking over one of ours in this deep
deep slumber.  Poor doc was thinking coma and going crazy.  Nothing to worry
about.

Actually as far as can be told no ECE was spread at this particular show.
It was because of outbreaks at other shows back East that the extreme
precautions were taken.  There is an lack of knowledge about ECE and its
related diseases on the West coast.  The controversy was mostly about there
needing to be more information distributed before the show.  Your ideas are
good.
