The visitors we had yesterday, found our website while surfing the net!
When they saw we were located in Kirkland, Illinois, they became very
excited.  They live in Elgin, Illinois, & their son had just MOVED to
Kirkland!  These people showed up with a huge box containing laundry
soap, bleach, and every jar of turkey baby food the store had!!!  They
brought pictures of their own babies to share, & we had a WONDERFUL
visit!  I introduced them to many of the little ones they had seen on
the website.  They were here between 2 1/2 -3 hours, & the time literally
FLEW by!  I was sorry to see them leave, but they assured me they will be
back!  Their son will be coming for a visit too!!
 
As we left the ferret room, & proceeded into the kitchen, the lady
reached into her purse, & handed me an envelope with "Zoo" on the
outside.  She explained that she worked at the casino in Elgin.  Inside
was a beautifully done note, with the sweetest ferret pictures on it,
and a gingerbread man border, all around it.  It read: "Happy Holidays
from the Cocktail Servers and Bartenders at the Grand Victoria Casino
in Elgin, Il." It was full of cash.
 
I am so touched--I know how hard these people work for their money--and
they had taken up a collection.  They sent their tips to Zoo`s to help
care for our babies.  May God bless our new friends, and these wonderful
people I have never even met...
